An Introduction To Thai Food
Nothing reflects Thailand as well as Thai cuisine. Every dish is a harmonious joining of flavours - sweet, spicy, sour, salty, and even bitter - symbolising human life, which is laced with different emotions; laughter, tears, pain, and anger. Each Thai dish, in itself, has distinct characteristics. Even if the dishes are made from similar ingredients, each stands out with a unique taste.
Baan Phraya offers totally authentic, fresh Thai food. Our all new menu offers a wide variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Our evening menu comes complete with a complimentary appetiser called MEING KAM, a traditional Thai snack of Betel leaves filled with roast peanut, pieces of diced lime, shallot, ginger, small dried shrimps, and chopped bird's eye chillies, served with our chef's special plumb sauce (pictured).
For those unfamiliar with Thai cuisine, we've made it easy for you to order in our new menu by putting together some set meals starting at just £19.95 per head (Monday to Thursday only), including a glass of house wine or a soft drink. Our menu also now includes a 2 or 3 course lunchtime special for just £9.95 and £11.95 per head including a glass of house wine or soft drink.
